Willie D. McDouglas, a devoted family man and beloved member of his community, was born in Lakeland (Polk County), Florida. Throughout his life, he carried with him the values of hard work, love, loyalty, and a joyful spirit that touched everyone who knew him.
A true lover of football—especially his San Francisco 49ers—Willie never missed a chance to cheer on his team. His passion for cooking was equally strong. Whether in the kitchen at home or behind the scenes in professional settings, cooking was one of his greatest gifts. His talent led him to many opportunities, including years of dedicated service at St. John Fisher and later at Nazareth College, where he eventually retired with pride.
Willie enjoyed life’s simple pleasures: a cold Heineken in hand, good music—especially the oldies but goodies—and time spent laughing, talking, and living fully with the people he loved. Above all, he cherished his family. His grandchildren held a very special place in his heart, and he poured love, wisdom, and warmth into each of them.
Willie’s legacy is one of strength, generosity, and unwavering devotion to the people and passions that made his life full. His presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him.
He is survived by his loving wife Jackie McDouglas, a host of brothers and sister, his children including Willie (Terah), Chana (Darius), Tanya. Tasha, Kyle(Hollis), Alex , Makiah, Taylor, Josh and Vaughn, many grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
