Thomas M. Volkmar

Thomas M. Volkmar passed away at home on October 5, 2026, surrounded by his family. He was born on July 14, 1950, and will be remembered with love for the quiet and lasting ways he brought joy to those around him.

Thomas had a deep love for baseball, a simple and enduring passion that was part of who he was. He also had a special place in his heart for his dogs, especially Taz, Stanley, Coco, and Charger, whose companionship meant so much to him. These were among the everyday blessings that helped shape a life marked by affection, loyalty, and warmth.

He is survived by his sons, Thomas R. Volkmar;  and William and Heather Volkmar; by his sisters, Mary Ann and Butch Newland, Sherry Haniford, and Wendy Volkmar; and by his grandchildren, Ashley and Brenton Fischer, and Brandon Volkmar. The love of his family surrounded him in life and remained with him through his final moments, a reflection of the close bonds he shared with them.

Thomas was preceded in death by his father, William, his mother, Loretta, and his brother, Johnny Volkmar. Their memories remained part of his life and are now joined with his own in the hearts of those who loved them all.

He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered for the love he gave, the interests he cherished, and the family connections that meant so much to him. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him and peace to all who mourn his passing.
