Susan E. Wood, RN

Susan E. Wood, RN, a devoted and compassionate nurse, passed away on December 16, 2025, at the age of 74 in Rochester, New York. Born on April 24, 1951, in Elmira, New York, Susan dedicated her life to caring for others, earning her Associate of Applied Science in Nursing and serving as a registered nurse for Lifetime Care.

Throughout her esteemed career, Susan exemplified the values of dedication, empathy, and professionalism that are essential to the nursing profession. Her commitment to her patients extended beyond the clinical setting; she was a true advocate for their well-being, offering both medical attention and emotional support.

Family and friendship were deeply cherished by Susan. She is survived by her niece, Kristin Wood, and her great niece and nephew, Carter and Eleanor, who will carry her memory with love and gratitude. Additionally, she is remembered fondly by her special friends, Bernadette and Calvin, whose lives she touched with her kindness and warmth.

Prayer Service Tuesday December 23rd 6:30pm; immediatley followed by a breif Visitation, at Thomas Funeral Chapels, located at 4545 Lake Avenue in Rochester, New York.

Susan's life was a testament to the power of compassion and service, and she leaves behind a legacy of love and care that will continue through all who knew her. She will be missed dearly by family, friends, and all whose lives she enriched with her kindness and nurturing spirit.
