Susan B. Irish

Susan B. Irish, née Hubner, passed peacefully on November 1, 2026, after a short illness. She was born on October 21, 1949, in Illinois, and will be remembered with love for the life she lived and the quiet, steady presence she brought to those around her.

Susan was a graduate of Potsdam College, an accomplishment that marked the beginning of a life shaped by dedication and purpose. She went on to serve as a Business Administrator at Nazareth College, where she was a valued member of the institution before her retirement. Her work reflected the care, responsibility, and commitment that were hallmarks of her life.

Beyond her professional life, Susan found meaning in community and fellowship. She was a member of the Garden Gate Garden Club of Pittsford, where she shared an appreciation for beauty and growth. She was also a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church of Rochester, a place that was part of the fabric of her life and community.

Susan is survived by her daughter, Betsy Irish; her sisters, Nancy Upchurch and Beverly Rawe; and her brother, Terry Hubner. She also carried the memory of those who went before her, and she was preceded in death by her parents, George and Virginia Hubner.

Those who knew Susan will remember a woman whose life was grounded in family, work, faith, and community. May her memory bring comfort to all who loved her.
