Ronald A. Ellsworth

Ronald A. “Ron” Ellsworth, of Rochester, New York, passed away on September 23, 2026, in Rochester. He was born on March 2, 1948, in Northville, New York.

Ron was a retiree of Eastman Kodak. Outside of work, he found great enjoyment in golf and hunting, and he especially treasured time spent with his family, children, and grandchildren. He was a special “Poppy” to his grandchildren, a role that brought him deep pride and happiness.

He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Susan Ellsworth; his son, Kirk Ellsworth and Michele; his daughter, Christine Leclerc and Norm; his granddaughter, Caitlin Warren and Tyler; his grandson, Jacob Ellsworth and Jasmyne Ponder; his granddaughter, Emily Leclerc and Peter Fisher; his great-grandson, Jaxson Warren; and his sisters, Sue Trembley and Jack, and Karen Bogusc and Gary. He will be remembered with love by his family and by all who shared in the warmth of his life.

Ron was predeceased by his father and mother, Homer and Amy Ellsworth; by his brother, Richard Ellsworth; and by his sister, Amy Aline.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 28, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Chapels, 4545 Lake Ave, Rochester, New York 14612. A Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Cross Church, 4492 Lake Avenue, Rochester, New York 14612. Inurnment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 2461 Lake Avenue, Rochester, New York 14612.

Ron’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him, and in the enduring love of his family.
