Richard Oliver
Charlotte: Born September 6, 1943; Died October 21, 2014. Born in Columbus, Georgia to Richard O. Deegan and Elma Goff, Rick\'s father was an Army Captain in WW2. Richard was raised in Bath, NY; attended Haverling Central School and then graduated from The College of Great Falls in Montana. He was attending the University of Illinois at Champagne when he was drafted to the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and served in Korea for two years.
Rick worked for Eastman Kodak for 25 years, where he started as a Microbiologist. He lived in Charlotte, Rochester, and was a member of Holy Cross Parish.
He is survived by his children; Ric (Joanna Moschella), Christine (Conor Clarke), Bridget (Colby Fillippelli), and Patricia. Grandfather to Oliver, Cian, and Eva; sisters, Cindy (Brian Cain), Susie (Tom Larmondra), Tish (Bob Bresee), Mary (Tom Stackpole), and Caty.
Rick was a proud Irish American who enjoyed visits to Ireland, Boston, South Carolina and Texas. He loved his family, his music, Keuka Lake, and a strong Manhattan.
Family and friends mall call at Thomas, Saturday 25th, from 1-3pm.
