Michael A. Mitrano

Michael A. Mitrano passed away on September 4, 2026, in Rochester, New York. He was born on November 15, 1958, in Germany.

Michael will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather whose presence meant so much to those closest to him. He also leaves behind the memory of a gift that brought joy to others: he was a great musician who loved playing the guitar. That love of music stands as part of the lasting impression he made on his family and friends.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Donna Mitrano (Cornelia), and by their children, Katie (Joe), Gigi (Peter), Charlie, Timmy, and Lana. He is also survived by his brother, James (Janine) Mitrano, 15 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild; as well as his sister-in-law, Laurie Cornelia. Together, they carry forward the love, memories, and bond they shared with Michael, and will hold him close in their hearts in the days ahead.

Michael was preceded in death by his father, Andrew Mitrano; his mother, Dolores Mitrano; and his grandson, Julian.

A Mass will be held on Saturday September 12, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Holy Cross Church, 4492 Lake Avenue, Rochester, NY 14612. A graveside service will also take place on September 12, 2026, at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 2461 Lake Avenue, Rochester, NY 14612. No prior calling will be held.

Michael A. Mitrano will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
