Mary Louise Selover (née Stonegraber), born on December 12, 1930, passed away peacefully on June 23, 2026, surrounded by family. Her departure marks the close of a long and meaningful life that touched the hearts of all who knew her.
Mary was known for her warmth, kindness, and steadfast dedication to those around her. She was always smiling, quick to laugh, and never passed up an opportunity to dance, bringing joy wherever she went. Throughout her 95 years, she nurtured and supported her family with unwavering love, leaving a legacy of compassion and resilience.
Mary is survived by her children: Lee (Marcia) Selover, Sandra (Jim) Robinson, Karen Selover-Dedlow (Frank Caldarelli), and Laurie Selover. Her influence extended across generations to her cherished grandchildren: Melissa (Aaron), Emily (Matt), James (Brittany), Adam, Sherri (James), Ashley (John), Rachael (Chris), Erica (Ricky), and Ryan (Shayna). Each carries forward her values and traditions, which will continue to be shared with her beloved great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchild.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Leon Selover, whose memory she treasured throughout her life. She is also predeceased by her siblings, Helen VandenBerg, Evelyn Wemple, Lavern Stonegraber, Doris Brown, and Robert Stonegraber. Their presence in her life was a constant source of support and affection.
Mary’s life was marked by her devotion to family and her ability to foster enduring bonds between loved ones. Through both joyful times and challenges, her strength never wavered. Those who survive her will remember her not only as a matriarch but as a guiding light who exemplified patience, generosity, and grace. Her infectious smile, joyful laughter, and love of dancing will forever remain among the treasured memories she leaves behind.
Her absence will be deeply felt, but her spirit will live on through the love she instilled in family and friends. Mary Louise Selover’s memory will be cherished, and her legacy will continue to inspire those who were privileged to share in her remarkable life.
