One of the highlights of Mark's musical journey occurred during a memorable evening at the Youngs Station Tavern in Toronto, when his group Windjammer had the opportunity to perform in front of Neil Peart, the renowned drummer from the band Rush. This moment is etched in Mark's memory, as he played several of Rush’s top hits and received a big thumbs up from Neil, a cherished acknowledgment that brought him immense joy.

Outside of music, Mark was an avid fan of the Kansas City Chiefs, the New York Yankees, and the iconic band The Beatles. His enthusiasm for these teams and music reflected not only his interests but also his vibrant personality.

In his final years, Mark exhibited remarkable strength and resilience in his battle with cancer. He expressed heartfelt gratitude to all who provided compassionate care during this difficult journey, recognizing the profound influence their kindness made in easing his fight.

Mark is survived by his niece and nephew, Amy and Kurt Lancaster; his sister-in-law, Kathy Lancaster; his cousin, Luann Achter; and numerous cousins, friends, and bandmates. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry Sr. and Dorothy A. Lancaster; his brother Harold and Doris Addley; and his brother Harry J. Lancaster Jr.

Mark A. Lancaster will be remembered not only for his musical talent and achievements but also for his generous spirit and the warmth he brought into the lives of those who were fortunate enough to know him. His legacy will continue to resonate in the hearts of many.
