To know Mark Werner Briner was to love him — and to laugh with him.

Born December 27, 1956, Mark passed away peacefully on October 26, 2025, surrounded by his loving fiancée and daughter. Born on December 27, 1956, Mark lived a life full of laughter, love, and adventure.

Mark lived life his own way — loud pipes, big laughs, a stubborn streak a mile wide, and an even bigger heart. He loved his Harley-Davidson, his dogs, Falco, Max, and Harley, his "dog-cat" Stumpy, his turtles, Eagles, Cheech & Chong, and The Three Stooges. He could always find a reason to laugh no matter what life threw at him. He never met a stranger, only future friends, and everyone knew he had one hell of a right hand — Mark also loved spending time in his backyard — his favorite place to relax, crack a beer, and hang out with friends. That backyard was more than grass and trees; it was home base for laughter, stories, and memories that will live on forever. He is survived by his fiancée, Stacy Fontaine; his daughter, Kaylie Briner; and his grandchildren, Jakob Stanton, Jaelyn Stanton, and Juliana Scalzo. He also leaves behind his brothers, Scott and Tim Briner—more than brothers, they were his lifelong best friends; his sister, Tina Fontaine and Donna Fountaine; his sister in laws, Dawn Briner and Robin Ponese; his nieces, Rebecca Bourne,Selena Fountaine, Teanna Fountaine, and Blanca Figuero; his nephews, Felix Briner, Joshua Briner, Terrance Bates- Fountaine, Logan Fountaine and Frank Jr. Fountaine; and an entire circle of friends who were truly like family. Mark didn’t want a somber goodbye — he wanted a party.

In honor of Mark’s wishes, there will be no formal service. Instead, loved ones are invited to raise a glass and share a laugh in his memory. So come have a “last call” drink with him at M’s Bar and Grill, 4300 Culver Road, Rochester, NY 14622, on Saturday, November 29, from 2–4 PM — and stick around, because knowing Mark, the party will last the rest of the night.

Ride free, laugh often, and keep the good times rolling — just the way Mark did. We’ll meet you in the backyard, Dad. ❤️
