Cherished husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on November 28, 2025, after a brave four-year battle with heart failure, cancer and dementia. Born on April 6, 1931, John lived a life rich in love, resilience, and laughter, leaving behind a legacy that will be fondly remembered and cherished by all who knew him.
John was predeceased by his beloved parents, John and Mary Bronowicki, who instilled in him the values of hard work, kindness and compassion. He is also predeceased by his four siblings who spanned the globe as well as most of his friends and adult relatives. Their memories and the bonds they shared were a testament to the importance of family in John's life.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Frances, who was his steadfast partner who stood by his side through every challenge in his life's journey- especially the last 4 years, and his two sons, Edward (Patty) Bronowicki and Ronald Bronowicki and many nieces and nephews as well as a few friends. As a grandfather, John found immense joy in the lives of his grandchildren: Kathleen (Brian) Conway, Julie (John) Reichert, and Kristen (Andrew) Maslyn. He took great pride in their accomplishments, watching them grow and thrive. He cherished the moments spent together, imparting wisdom and love that will resonate through generations. John was also a proud great-grandfather to Carter, Theo, Henry, Lily, Jack, and Tommy, whose laughter and energy brought him boundless joy.
John's life was characterized by his unwavering strength and determination. He faced his health challenges with remarkable courage, never complaining and inspiring those around him with his positive outlook and resilience. His ability to connect with others, share stories, and offer support made a lasting impact on everyone he encountered. A special thank you to the Rochester General Hospital Hospice team who did such a fantastic job in comforting him and making the transition peaceful. A private family gathering will be held at a later date to honor John's life and legacy. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in his memory, reflecting his generous heart, spirit and commitment to helping others.
John Bronowicki Jr. will be deeply missed but forever remembered for his love, laughter, and the countless memories he created with those he cherished. His spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
