Isabel A. (Rossi) Yancone, 92, passed peacefully on March 25, 2026, She was born on May 4, 1933, in Rochester, NY, the youngest of three sisters in the Rossi family. Isabel married John R. Yancone in 1956, and together they raised three children.
Isabel was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John, and her parents, Mary and Antonio Rossi, as well as her in-laws, John and Rose Yanconne. She was also predeceased by her two sisters, Frances Mary SSJ and Angela (Rick) Maggi
She is survived by her children John (Yuko) , Thomas (Renee) and Ronald (Andrea) . Grandchildren Shannon Yancone, Kimberly Rohr, Nicholas (Laura) Yancone, Kayleigh (Justin) Larkins, Krystyn (Tony) Cimino, Bryan Yancone, Gabrielle (Nick) Bonacci, Kory (Maggie) Yancone, Thomas (Brittany) Yancone, Daniel (Corinne) Yancone, Kathryn (Alex) DeLaCruz, Emily Yancone and 18 Great Grandchildren who brought her joy.
She attended Holy Cross and Charlotte High School. Isabel started her career at Eastman Kodak,. Company. Eventually In 1978, she and John opened their very own Abbott's Frozen Custard franchise.
Isabel always had a special place in her heart for Charlotte Beach, where she had grown up. The beach and its concerts by the shore were a source of joy and fond memories throughout her life and will always be remembered. She cherished her time spent with her grandchildren, Isabel will be deeply missed.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff at Edna Tina Wilson Center for their compassionate and loving care, treating Isabel with the utmost respect during her final days.
A Mass to celebrate Isabel’s life will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, March 31st, at Holy Cross Church, 4492 Lake Avenue, Rochester, NY 14612. .Private interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
