Gregory K. Sullivan, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and esteemed community member, passed away on February 8, 2014, at the age of 67. Born on August 31, 1946, Greg lived a life marked by dedication to his family and his passions.

As the original owner and founder of the Penny Arcade, Greg proudly operated the music venue for over 30 years, creating a vibrant space that became a fixture in the community. His entrepreneurial spirit was matched only by his commitment to his family, as he worked alongside them at Thomas Funeral Chapels, illustrating his caring nature and desire to support those around him.

A graduate of McQuaid Jesuit High School and Monroe Community College, Greg was known for his listening ear and guiding presence, always willing to offer support and advice to his family and friends. His warmth and compassion left a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Greg's interests extended far beyond his professional life; he had a profound love for travel and dedicated much of his time to filming steam trains around the world. This hobby not only enriched his own life but also provided joy and wonder to those who shared in his enthusiasm for the beauty of engineering and the adventure it embodies.

He was a proud, 50-year member of the National Railway Historical Society's Rochester Chapter and an active participant in the Rochester Genesee Valley Railroad Museum, reflecting his lifelong passion for railroads and their history.

Greg is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Lana Polvino-Sullivan; his son, Gregory T. Sullivan, and his wife, Mindy; as well as his beloved grandson, Greyson. He is also remembered fondly by dear relatives and friends who will carry forward his legacy of caring and dedication.

In celebrating Gregory K. Sullivan’s life, we honor his significant contributions to both his family and the community. His spirit will forever remain a guiding light to those who loved him.
