Irondequiot: March 6, 2017. Age 93. Predeceased by his first wife, Shirley A Mattys; mother, Ruth Ketterer; father, Joseph Mattys; sister June Carr. Survived by his children, Stephen (Diane) Mattys; Pamela (John III) Earls; Peter Mattys; And children, Eric (Rina) Mattys; Marci Mattys, Michael (Linda) Mattys; Daniel Mattys; their mother Gaye Thursam-Mattys; brother, Robert (Helen) Mattys; numerous beloved grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews; great nieces & nephews. Gerald was a proud WWII Navy Veteran and a retiree of Xerox. The family extends a special thanks to Dr. Gene Zito and private HHA Penny Siphakongviseth for their loving care.
