Frances Bronowicki

Frances Bronowicki, a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully on July 22, 2026, at the age of 92, in Rochester, New York, due to terminal cancer.

Frances was born on February 8, 1934, in Radziechuw, Poland to Antonio and Anna Napora. She carried the love and lessons of her parents throughout her life, embodying the kindness and warmth they instilled in her. She was raised in the beautiful city of Salzburg, Austria. Frances was preceded in death by her parents, Antonio and Anna Napora, her siblings (Mary, Helen, Josie, Charlotte/Kazia, Stanley and Ted) and her devoted husband, John Bronowicki Jr. Together, John and Frances created a loving home, filled with laughter and the aroma of home-cooked meals and homemade baked cookies and cakes, which Frances eagerly prepared for her family. Their marriage, celebrated in Rochester, New York, was a beautiful partnership that lasted an entire lifetime. They celebrated 70 years of marriage on July 10, 2024.

Frances is survived by her two cherished sons, Edward (Patty) Bronowicki and Ronald Bronowicki and many nephews and nieces. She proudly watched her family flourish, including her grandchildren, Katie (Brian) Conway, Kristen (Andrew) Maslyn, and Julie (John) Reichert. Frances was not only a grandmother but a great-grandmother to Carter, Theo, Henry, Lily, Jack, and Tommy.

Professionally, Frances contributed her skills as a frame supervisor at Bausch and Lomb, where she was known for her dedication and strong work ethic. However, it was in her personal life that she truly shined. Frances had a remarkable ability to create warmth and comfort, whether discussing a good book or a delicious meal, which reflected her kind, loving, and caring nature.

Frances' legacy of compassion extended beyond her family. In lieu of flowers, her family requests that donations be made to Lollypop Farm, an organization that embodies Frances' love for animals and her desire to help animals in need.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Unity Hospital and the entire team on floor 4400 and to Story of Hope Comfort Care Home for the exceptional care and support Frances received during her time there. Special thanks to Donna, Arlene, Stacy, Cheryl, Sue, Susan, Chantel, Dana, Tracy, Phil and Sir Jeffrey the therapy dog who would come visit her and sit on her lap. And thank you to the many volunteers at Story of Hope. You helped comfort Frances with the transition. You all are truly appreciated. Frances Bronowicki will be remembered fondly for her unwavering love, her nurturing spirit, and the countless memories she created with her family and friends. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Frances will be dearly missed but will forever remain a guiding light in the lives of those she touched. There will be a private family gathering to celebrate Frances' life at a later date.
