Diane Ellen Kron left this world peacefully on October 20, 2026, embarking on her next great adventure. Although she had plans for many more adventures, she left us far too soon. She will be remembered for her compassion, her dedication to others, her deep love of family, and the beauty she brought into the lives of so many.

While raising her four children, Diane returned to school to pursue her dream of becoming a nurse. She went on to serve as a charge nurse at Lipson Cancer Center at Linden Oaks for many years. Her work was far more than a profession; it was a reflection of her caring nature and her unwavering commitment to helping those facing some of life's most difficult challenges. Through her kindness, compassion, and dedication, Diane touched countless lives and made a lasting difference in the lives of the patients and families she cared for.

Outside of her nursing career, Diane found great joy in gardening. She was well known for the beautiful garden in front of her home, a reflection of the time, love, and care she put into everything she did. Her garden was a source of beauty and a fitting representation of the warmth and thoughtfulness she shared with those around her.

Diane also loved walking the beaches of Charlotte and Anna Maria Island, searching for treasures along the shore. These simple pleasures brought her happiness and reflected her appreciation for nature, discovery, and life's little adventures.

Above all, Diane cherished her family. She especially enjoyed adventures with her beloved siblings, creating memories that would be treasured for years to come. Together, they traveled to Europe, Alaska, Nova Scotia, and beyond. Their adventures also included hiking, snowshoeing, sharing a glass of wine, and spending hours chatting and enjoying one another's company. The love she shared with her siblings and the time they spent together were among the most cherished parts of her life.

Diane's greatest legacy will be the love she gave, the lives she touched, and the countless memories she leaves behind. Her compassion, adventurous spirit, and the beauty she brought to the world will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. Though she will be deeply missed, the impact of her life will never be forgotten.

Diane is survived by her beloved siblings, Linda Garnett, Carol Palmer, Dorothy (Bruce) Chilton, Barbara Termito, and John Palmer. She was predeceased by her brother, Alfred Palmer.

She leaves behind her loving children and their spouses: David (Wendy) Kron, Todd (Liss) Kron, Matthew (Jennifer) Kron, and Sarah (Geoffrey) Smith; and her stepdaughter, Robin (Scott) Waller. Diane was a proud grandmother to 11 grandchildren and a great-grandmother to six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In accordance with Diane's wishes, she will be cremated and laid to rest at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery alongside her beloved mother. An interment ceremony will be held for family and close friends.

In Diane's memory, visitors are encouraged to leave a flower at her gravesite as a simple expression of love, remembrance, and gratitude for the many ways she enriched their lives.

Though her next adventure has begun, Diane's love, kindness, and beautiful spirit will remain with all who knew and loved her.
