Ascenzita M. Stebbins

Ascenzita M. Stebbins, fondly known as Cindy, was born on February 13, 1942, in Rochester, NY, and passed away on November 30, 2025, in her home. Cindy was renowned for her role as a devoted homemaker and for her many years of dedicated service at Bausch & Lomb, where she worked as a lens inspector.

Throughout her life, Cindy exemplified an unwavering commitment to her family, always prioritizing their needs and going above and beyond to ensure their well-being. She was characterized by her fantastic sense of humor, kindness, and loving nature, traits that endeared her to all who knew her. With great pride, she cherished the time spent spoiling her grandchildren, forging special bonds that will be remembered fondly by many.

Cindy is survived by her loving daughter, Chrystal Stebbins, and her son, Leonard (Brooklyn) Stebbins Jr. She leaves behind five grandchildren: Daniel Stebbins, Joseph Neerbasch, Lindsey Stebbins, Lainey Stebbins, and Hannah Saurini, all of whom were blessed to have her in their lives. Additionally, she is survived by her siblings, including John Mastrella, Margaret Zaccaria, Concetta Cortese, and Angelo (Cynthia) Mastrella Jr., as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and dear family and friends.

Cindy joins in eternal rest her parents, Angelo and Margaret Mastrella; her former husband, Leonard Stebbins-Spaziano; her brother, Joseph Mastrella; her sister, Frances Mastrella; and her grandson, Eric Saurini Jr.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to her aides, Joseph Neerbasch, Misty, and Kelly Chilson, for their loving care during her final days.

Visitation for Ascenzita M. Stebbins will be held on December 7, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM, followed by a prayer service at 5:30 PM, both at Thomas Funeral Chapels, located at 4545 Lake Ave, Rochester, NY 14612.
