William I. Schipper \"Bill\"

Charlotte: September 18th, 2020 at the age of 93, Bill began a new adventure. He was predeceased by his parents, Irving and Virginia; wife, Joan of 56 years; grandson, Jacob; son in law, Charles McAvoy; and special friend, Audrey Fisher. Survived by daughter, Cynthia McAvoy of Ca.; sons, Scott (Gail), and Jeffery (Wendy); six grandchildren, Amanda Arioto (Joe), Charles McAvoy (Lacey), Jordie, Joshua, Elissa and Matthew Mansfield (Laura); seven great grandchildren; and his best friend, Barbara Miles.

Bill was a proud Navy Corpsman in WW2. As to his accomplishments, his father once told him, I never tell you when you do something good because I dont want you to get a big head. So, its hoped those who knew him well will remember how he may have affected their lives either good or bad. He knew he was not perfect, but his family feels differently. Bill was beloved by all who knew him, a renaissance man in every sense of the word; he lived richly and left a legacy of love and joy that will be felt for generations to come.
