Mary J. Hogan

September 20, 1931 — November 14, 2020

Charlotte: After a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's, Mary Jane passed away peacefully. She was preceded in death by her loving husbands, James Hogan and Richard Bridenbaker, daughter Deborah Raymond, infant son James, and sister Rosely Allen. Mary Jane is survived by daughters Cynthia McCarthy (Jeff, deceased), Candace Hogan, Mary Jane Wright (Bryan), son Michael Hogan (Elizabeth), sister Linda Villaverde (Raymond), 14 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
Mary enjoyed singing and dancing, cooking and baking, and playing bingo, and was a great friend to all that knew her. She was always happiest when surrounded by family, and found great joy in her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the staff of Hill Haven nursing home and Lifetime Hospice for the kindness and care they provided to their mother.
Mary was a longtime parishioner and active member of Holy Cross Church. The family has requested that donations be made to the Holy Cross School Fund, 4488 Lake Avenue, Rochester, NY 14612. Condolences may be sent to the family c/o Thomas Funeral Chapels.
The family plans to gather for a celebration of her life when it is safe to do so.
