Evelyn LaRue Diana

Rochester: Passed March 1, 2020 at the age of 86. Born the only child of Henry & Evelyn Hatherill, in Hollsopple, PA.

Evelyn is predeceased by her son, Mark Diana; great-grandson, Franklin Polisseni; and best friend, Patricia Winch.

She is survived by her loving children, Gail (Harry) Snyder, Kathy Diana, Linda Diana, Brenda Chase-Diana; grandchildren, Joey, Michelle, Paula, Tammy, Michael (Cindy), Jason, Alicia, Louie, & Danielle; great-grandchildren, Joey, Anna Maria, Brandon, Anthony, Joey, Adrianna, Johnathan, Angelina, Richard, Jossette, Corretta, Daniel, Elijah, Lizzy, Priscilla, & Hailey; great- great-grandchildren, William, Dominic, Brandon, Jaxen, Marina, Tyanna, Maribella, & Arianna; best friends, Sharon Sullivan & Rosie Simpson.

Evelyn retired from Eastman Kodak, moving to Edgewater Florida, where she opened a bar called Nifties Fifties & Sixties in New Smyrna Beach. She took care of everyone especially her crazy family. She loved reading and movies, anything with a good story. She enjoyed animals and ice cream. She loved watching football & baseball. She was a loyal fan of Days of our Lives, watching it from the beginning in 1965. She had a deep love of god and her Church, where she sang in the choir. She loved to travel, often packing her 5 kids, later her grandchildren in the vehicle and driving off. She was able to meet 5 generations of her family. She was a spectacular lady to have met & loved. She will be dearly missed.

Family and Friends may call at Thomas Funeral Chapels, Friday March 6th from 4-7pm, with prayers at 7pm. Burial will be at the convenience of the family, at Sea Pines Memorial Garden, Edgewater Fl. In lieu of flowers please consider donations to the family to assist with final expenses.
