Rochester, NY:Birthe passed away on August 22, 2017 at age 91.Predeceased by husband, Chuck L. Ambrose. Birthe is survived by sons, Eric (Eileen), Greg (Pam); daughter, Meg (Rob) Brown; grandchildren, Chris (Dave) Willard, Sandy (Dan) Umiker, Denise Ambrose, Kirsten Ambrose; great-grandchildren, Andrew & Camille Willard, Ryan & William Umiker.She is also survived by her nieces, nephews, cousins and friends in Denmark and the USA. Birthe was born and raised in Copenhagen, Denmark.Towards the end of WWII, Chuck was serving in the US Army and was stationed at Eisenhowers HQ in Copenhagen when he met Birthe. They were married at a Catholic Church in Copenhagen in December, 1945. Birthe moved to Rochester, NY in 1946 to begin her new life with Chuck. In 1960, they moved their family to Brevard County, FL. She became an American citizen in 1963. Birthe and Chuck lived in Florida for 40 years before moving back to Rochester, NY. They were married for 67 years. Birthes interests included embroidery and corresponding with family/friends. She loved dogs, music and family celebrations
A Memorial Service will be held at Thomas, Sunday August 27th at 7pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to the charity of your choice.
